'A Word Is Dead'

'A Word Is Dead'

A word is dead
When it is said,
Some say.
I say it just
Begins to live
That day.

Word perfection - Dickinson style!

Did you see the Sunday Snippet at TPS? Another passage from Allende. Scroll down a few posts...

Just looked at your comment after mine on the first Allende. Sorry! I have visitors and it is hard to keep up at present, so I missed going back to your comment section.

Yes, it was! How weird that we were at the same exhibition!!! What sort of coincidence is that!!

It is so simple and so meaningful.
The beauty of the short poem of Emily.

Mmm, yes, Olga!

this is simply beautiful and makes one stop and really think about the words...i love her interpretation of them....xxx and speaking of 'words', i have a *9* letter verification word to do!!! 9 is a bit much i think...sigh...

She was so reclusive and yet always manages to inspire; incredible, I think.

Good luck with the verification!

Very true words! I haven't read any of Emily Dickinson's work, but I may seek some of it out.
