Thank you for your comments. Yes, it is snow, but it was at the beginning of the year. It falls as tears as our special tree has the dreaded red beetle and sadly will have to come down ... so I have given it a place in my post.
It is amazing how well roses grow here. They always remind me of two of my aunts who grew roses. One used to say to me (I was in my teens at the time) 'My dear, never bed a duchess with a duke in the rose garden.'
Thank you Spangle and Theresa. Yes, it is snow, but from earlier in the year. Today, we have sunshine. Hope the weather improves in Ohio for the weekend.

Haunting, Aguja. Through rain or snow, is it? A tropical climate palm and a cold climate climbing rose perhaps. Thanks.
err...please don't tell me it's snowing in Valencia !
It does look like snow....what a shot.

Lovely photo Aguja.
Fascinating photo. I do hope that's not snow. It certainly mirrors the cold chilled rain that's coming down here in nw Ohio.

Looks like a palm tree with snow. Wild!!
Ahhh, I miss green palm trees. Everything in TX is brown and burnt.
Yes, it was a 'wild' experience that I just managed to capture as it did not last ... and may not happen again.
Sorry about 'brown and burnt' Chelsea Girl. I wish you calm green thoughts for the weekend!
