'A lake and a fairy boat
To sail in the moonlight clear,
And merrily we would float
From the dragons that watch us here.
Thy gown shall be snow-white silk,
And strings of orient pearls,
Like gossamers dipped in milk,
Should twine with thy raven curls.'
From 'Song: For Music' by Thomas Hood

Beautiful moonlight. xo style, she wrote
Ooooh - gotta love the moon! :-)
The first photograph is of Lago Maggiore at twilight and the moon is the moon that shines on our garden.
Thank you for your comments.
I knew immediately that it was an Italian lake!
Thomas Hood is one of my favorite poets and much underrated.....!
The last photo is absolutely outstanding. Not just the view, but the composition and the wonderful colours.
Elizabeth - I am glad that this post suited you so!
Olga - oddly it was a fluke snap taken from our hotel window at just the right time. Amazing how photos just happen. I do like this one, myself.
